A new garden for Graveney
Since January stopped, students have been hard at work creating a new garden with help local volunteers and ex-students. Graveney staff and members of the LEAF environmental group were on hand to deal with shifting the heavy slabs and woodchip.
The last fruit tree, an apricot, has been planted in the new forest garden behind Upper Science. We now have an apple, a pear, a cherry, and apricot and a strawberry tree as well as fruit bushes and shrubs. The trees will be followed by herbs, flowers and vegetables. Students from all years did the digging, planting and mulching.
Now we just have to water, nurture and hope for them to thrive!
