Exceptional A level and gcse results for our students

 Congratulations to all of our GCSE and A-Level students

We are delighted with the results that our students have received this summer which is a testament to all of the hard work that they have put into their studies.

Our GCSE results are our best ever with an Attainment 8 Score of 63. This meant that 89% of our students achieved 4+ in English and Mathematics, 78% received 5+ in both and an incredible 52% of all grades were 7 or above.

Although there is no official Progress 8 measure this year we are extremely confident that this will have produced a significantly positive result for us.

These GCSE results follow the success of our A-Level students who also achieved an outstanding set of results last week. As one of the biggest school sixth forms in the country with 419 students in Year 13 and a curriculum covering 32 subjects, the A level A*-C rate of 82% really underlines the hard work put in by our students. Within this headline figure, our students achieved an even more impressive A*-A pass rate of 32% and the A*-B rate of 60% .

We commend our students on the range of pathways they will now be taking up; once again, the vast majority of students have got into their first choice university, including Oxford and Cambridge, Russell Group Universities, and Veterinary, Dental and Medical schools. Our AS results remain excellent and we congratulate all our students for their results which are a fitting reward for their hard work. We also thank our dedicated staff as well as our parents for their continued support.
