Refugee Week

Last week we marked Refugee Week at Graveney. This year’s theme of 'Our Home' enabled us to make connections to work we had already done around the meaning of 'Home' for the Graveney for Peace event and our wider school commitment to environment education. 

We held two new student events; a KS3 discussion group on an extract from “The Swimmers” and a KS5 one on policies and media representations; in this way we continue to create spaces for student discussion and engagement. 

The week finished with a visit from members of Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees. They were taken on a tour of the school to see the various displays and pupil work and were impressed by how well the school had embraced the theme.
